How The Second Wave Of Covid-19 Impacted Us
When the lockdown and isolation spree began last year in 2020 in India, we were also brainwashed by the Modi government to isolate ourselves. Almost every Indian treated Modi’s word as the words set in stone. However, as the time elapsed and we stepped into 2021, we all realized that he is a leader capable of nothing but lip service. He made the economy collapse right in front of his eyes and didn’t do anything about it.
Nonetheless, I also saw that corona was not something to be highly scared of for the young individuals, but the elderly needed to be much more careful than us. It is indeed a pandemic the way it spreads widely, but I also thought that it is recoverable. As a healthy person, I did not want to wear a mask because I wanted to breathe freely. I have seen it in the last few months that the national leaders do not wear a mask or practice social distancing, but they ask us to do so.
They do nothing that they preach.
They impose fine on us for not following their rules, but who is going to impose a penalty on this ridiculous government when they cannot provide basic healthcare facilities to its citizens who voted for this man called Narendra Modi?
I lost my mother in law due to this horrific virus on 18th April 2021!
She might just be a number for the government, but she was the head of our family for us. We all feel so lost without her.
Every day, I hear someone or the other in the friends, family, and acquaintances dying. Families are getting broken, kids are being orphaned, and parents are losing their children.
Scary stories of how people are suddenly losing lives in hospitals are a norm now. Judges, doctors, policemen- no one is spared. Why doesn't covid hit the corrput politicians? Why don't they die?
During this dance of death, what is the responsibility of the BJP government?
They are just busy asking for more votes in other states so that they can kill more people and the BJP can become a communist government in the end.
No matter how corrupt Congress was, I still miss that government.
BJP has set new lows for how a government should function in the country.
The second wave of covid has taught us how we all are by ourselves. We cannot rely on anyone, not even on our families for support of any kind. They are also helpless. Once you are hit by covid, you are on your own for food, money, and support. Even when someone dies in your family, you are still on your own. No one will come to perform even the last rites. You are lucky if you could perform the last rites of your loved ones. You are lucky if the hospital did not throw the dead body of your kin. You are lucky if you are still able to earn and thus spend for your family.
