A second chance in the Interior Café

Image
Naseeruddin Shah has proved his prodigy once again in Interior Café Night. When I watched his short film, I didn’t know that it was viral. But after watching the film, I could not resist myself from celebrating the performance of two protagonists in my heart. It’s difficult to judge how two lovers would react if they meet after three decades, but Naseeruddin Shah and Shernaz Patel deserve a huge round of applause for portraying the expressions that do not need words to convey the feelings. Shernaz has amazingly expressed the deliberate tight-lipped defensive composure that a typical Indian female maintains, when she faces her ex-lover, or rather the light of her life, who has remained lone after she deserted him because of family incidents. And Shah’s gesture of initiating the second chance is commendable. Even if he is not sure about taking a decision and taking her along, he doesn’t doubt his instinct, and listens to the calling of his younger soul supposedly sitting on th...

My Secret Speculation on Navjot Singh Sidhu leaving the BJP

Image
After reading and watching the speculations regarding Navjot Singh Sidhu joining AAP, my mind has a singular opinion on the matter. I can sense that what we are witnessing is just the tip of an iceberg and there is much more beneath the headlines of newspapers. Apparently, Sidhu was not happy with his status in BJP, but if I am reading the mind of BJP Strategists right, Sidhu is double crossing AAP. Arvind Kejriwal might be elated with the thought that he is successful in breaking the BJP apart, and successfully inducting a crowd puller into his party. However, there might be a chance that BJP has sent someone to AAP who is dedicated to the former, but pretends to be the chief campaigner of the latter. In the meanwhile, let AAP rejoice that they have given a blow to the biggest political party of the world. A few days ago, there were speculations from an insider of AAP a few days earlier that Kejriwal might declare his wife, Sunita Kejriwal as the CM candidate, after she resi...

The Censor Board of Film Certification in India is Sense-ring the sense of Udta Punjab

Image
Pahlad Nihlani is being criticized since the day he has joined the Censor Board of India. He has once more hauled out the entire idea of the film from Udta Punjab. By proposing 89 cuts in Udta Punjab , he has once more proved that he is not at all aware of nerve of the younger generation of India. Even the members older generation of Bollywood such as Mukesh Bhatt support the idea that he should be impeached from his chair. He told the filmmaker, Anurag Kashyap, that the abuses should be beeped, the name of the state Punjab should not be mentioned and blah-blah-blah... What is the use of making a film if the filmmaker cannot express himself? This time, the AIB group has rightly joked about it in its poster

One More instance of People being Fooled by an Artist Prankster

Image
Many contemporary artworks are there, which may leave museum visitors in awe and they might question their own artistic merit. This might have come to the mind of TJ Khayatan, a 17-year old teenager from San Francisco, when he decided to play a prank on the visitors of San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. He was there in the museum with his friends when he stumbled upon a strange artwork, which did not seem very impressive to him or his friends. He decided to experiment by placing his glasses on the museum floor and notice the reactions of people. It did not take long for art-lovers to gather around the artwork and they started finding meaning in it. This incidence was fairly funny as the teenagers had a laugh of their life when they clicked pictures of people staring at their work, clicking pictures of it, and analyzing the meaning behind the simplicity of the work. Many of them said that the floored glasses represent the downgrading of culture, the viewpoint of life...

Tanmay Bhat gets Roasted after he Roasts Sachin Tendulkar and Lata Mangeshkar, video faces BAN

Image
Sometimes, the comedians go too far to create humor. This time, AIB’s Tanmay Bhat is under the scanner for making fun of two Indian legends, Lata Mangeshkar and Sachin Tendulkar. In his video titled Sachin v/s Lata Civil War , he faceswapped the two celebrities and enacted an argument of insults. The cricket marvel and the singing legend have been out of any kind of ill publicity throughout their career. And it is beyond the imagination of Indians to hear their voices in such an awfully created snapchat video. Some of the punchlines used  against Lata Mangeshkar are- “Your face looks like someone has kept you in water for eight days” and “Snow also died, so should you”. This is too much derogatory even for a layman, forget such marvels of the country. Tanmay has received severe criticism for his act from bollywood denizens like Riteish Deshmukh,  Anupam Kher, Celina Jaitly, etc. but he must have been enjoying the attention he has got from all sects of Indian intelligen...

Are the Jats really poor?

Image
The Jats couldn’t have proved it better that they do not deserve and need reservation in the OBC quota at all. They used all high tech methods to disrupt the economy of North India for more than more than four days, the after effects of which are still visible. What do you expect from a Jat with a Pajero car halted in the middle of NH1, and asking for reservations in the government jobs claiming that they are poor? Like really? They had all the time in the world to come out of houses, leaving all their jobs and businesses behind to literally wipe out the economy and make it suffer for more than 35 thousand crores; while the hardworking people of the rest of general quota were waiting to get back to their work as soon as this agitation stopped because they did not have the heart to burn the shops of the Jats in return. They had the sensibility to understand that by causing harm to each other’s properties would do nothing but give birth to communal riots. Those who lived i...
